Patna: After NDA's landslide victory in the Bihar elections, JDU chief Nitish Kumar will take oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time on November 20. A senior party leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony, and at least one deputy chief minister will also be appointed.

Cabinet berth formula final - LJP 3, HAM-RLM 1-1, BJP-JDU divided?

According to sources, the formula for cabinet berth has been decided among the allies. Chirag Paswan's LJP(RV) gets 3 berths, and Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM-S and Upendra Kushwaha's RLM get 1 each. BJP will have 16 ministers, JDU will have 14 ministers and a total of 35 members in the cabinet, including CM. The BJP leader said that this will show a balanced partnership of NDA. Chirag's wife Pragya Singh (won from Sasaram) is also likely to get a place in the cabinet. Will smaller allies get this reward?

Nitish's resignation, proposal for dissolution of assembly?

According to the notification of the Cabinet Secretariat, the last meeting of the outgoing cabinet led by Nitish will be held at 11:30 am on Monday. In the meeting, a proposal for dissolution of the Assembly will be passed and recommended to the Governor. After this, Nitish will go to Raj Bhavan, resign, and appeal for dissolution of the assembly. According to NDA sources, Nitish will be elected leader in the meeting of JDU MLAs, then the NDA leader will be elected in the joint meeting of NDA MLAs.  After this, along with allies, we will present our claim to the Governor to form the government.

Model Code of Conduct removed, is the roadmap for the new government ready?

Chief Electoral Officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal on Sunday handed over the list of 243 newly elected MLAs to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. In the evening, the Election Commission removed the Model Code of Conduct from the entire state. NDA sources say that this is the end of the election process. Now the focus will be on government formation.  There was intense activity at Nitish's residence on Sunday. Met Union Minister Nityanand Rai, outgoing Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha. Kushwaha's wife, Snehlata (won from Sasaram) may get a place in the cabinet. Manjhi-Kushwaha met Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi.
